MEET THE FACE BEHIND TAPA

NICOLAS DILLEN

TAPA was founded by actor, screenwriter and podcaster Nicolas Dillen. Nicolas began his training as an actor in theatre at the age of 13. This is how he grew as an actor with the collectives: Theater aan de Stroom and Koma-ar Producties. In 2011, Nicolas began studying American acting methods. Soon after, he studies with renowned acting coach John Flanders.

At the Flanders Acting Studio in Brussels, he became skilled in the Meisner and Chubbuck technique. After this adventure, Nicolas wanted to delve further into authentic acting and experiment with other techniques. Thus, he personally attended intensive workshops led by. Ivana Chubbuck. Afterwards, he went to New York to work at the Esper Studio attending the Meisner technique training and "Advanced Mask Workshop". Back in Belgium, Nicolas set to work on the Alexander technique to work on his physical presence as a player.

In the meantime, Nicolas continued to engage in various theatre, TV and film productions. Among others, he left for Cannes Film Festival in 2015 to promote the short film Medicine Men. promote further.
